High additional load: group of skiers without spacing, snowmobile/groomer, avalanche blasting
Low additional load: single skier, snowboarder, snowshoe hiker
steep slopes: slopes with an angle of more than about 30 degrees
steep extreme terrain: those which are particularly unfavourable as regards slope angle (usually steeper than about 40°)

Above tree line, medium sized snow drift accumulations are recorded, which, where standing on persistant week layers could still be triggered by a single person. Today will be sunny. ATTENTION: The wind slabs are easy to detect but their stability it's hard to forecast. They are mainly close to the ridges, slope discontinuites and within gullies. The snow cover is shallow and hides stones and ice plates, the danger of hitting stones and slip away is high.
SNOWPACK
Above treeline, the snowpack is strongly wind affected and medium sized snow drift accumulations are recorded. Within the snow cover, persistent weak layers formed, which slow a good snowpack consolidation. In alpine terrain, on shaded slopes, the snow cover is almost completely formed by persistent crystals. Below 2200m, the snowpack thickness is poor.
