Livigno's managed winter trails are marked with poles (green and pink for snowshoeing; blue and orange for ski mountaineering; and green for walking and fat biking) that are constantly monitored and groomed with each new snowfall. This allows the snowpack to be kept under control and the trails to be closed if conditions do not allow for safe activity.
