<p>The wait is almost over for the athletes who next weekend will take on<span style="font-weight: bold;"> ICON Livigno Xtreme Triathlon, one of the toughest, most fascinating and spectacular races on the entire international circuit</span>. An extremely challenging format, designed to test the physical and mental resilience of the participants who, as every year, will reach the resort from every corner of the Planet, in order not to miss the 2023 edition.<br><br>To begin with, <span style="font-weight: bold;">3800 meters of swimming</span>, to be completed in the icy waters of Lake Livigno, followed by <span style="font-weight: bold;">195 kilometers of cycling</span>, made prohibitive by an elevation gain of more than 5000 meters and by the very important alpine passes planned on the route: the Forcola, the Bernina, the Stelvio and the Foscagno, true icons of cycling history. Finally, to end the race, the <span style="font-weight: bold;">final marathon</span>, with over 3,000 meters of elevation gain and a breathtaking finish, right at the gates of the Carosello 3000. A unique spectacle, in which<span style="font-weight: bold;"> high-level sport meets the pristine wilderness of Little Tibet, turning participants into explorers of the human limit.</span><br><br>The race is scheduled for <span style="font-weight: bold;">Friday, September 1</span>, but already from Wednesday it will be possible for athletes to familiarize themselves with the course and the men of the organization, with the opening of the Race Office and the distribution of race packs. On Thursday, on the other hand, the guided meditation, made available to all registered athletes and their support teams, near Livigno Lake at 11 a.m., and the official briefings, offered in both Italian and English, starting at 3 p.m. are worth mentioning. For this final moment of preparation, meet at Plaza Placheda.<br><br>The race is part of the prestigious <span style="font-weight: bold;">XTRI World Tour, a circuit that brings together the most important Extreme Triathlons on the Planet</span>: from Nepal to Norway, from Taiwan to Brazil, for a tour of the World marked by sporting challenge and scenic beauty. As per tradition, ICON will kick off on the shores of Livigno Lake, at 5 a.m., one of the strategic points to follow the event. In an evocative and exciting setting, the athletes will dive into the black waters of the basin, illuminated for the occasion only by the live fire of bonfires: a spectacle of great impact. In addition to the start, the other recommended<span style="font-weight: bold;"> locations to enjoy the event to the fullest </span>are the village center, where the best athletes will pass by mid-afternoon, and Carousel 3000, where the pay cable car will also be available for the public.<br><br>Finally, the participation of<span style="font-weight: bold;"> Livigno's Mateo Bormolini, from Livigno</span>, and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Giulio Molinari</span>, <span style="font-weight: bold;">a Livigno Team athlete and two-time Icon winner</span>, moreover consecutive, in 2019 and 2021, is worth mentioning.
