HIGH ALTITUDE TASTE
Let yourself be won over by the simplicity of alpine huts, mountain cottages and agritoutism; Points of departure, passage or arrival for your excursions immersed in nature. Between traditional Valtellina dishes and the authenticity of local products, the choice is varied.
From June to September, the mountain cottages become populated again, families and livestock leave the village to spend the summer in the mountain pastures. Here life respects slower rhythms and milk processing is daily; you will soon discover that milk tastes incredible!
At the three mountain cottages in the Livigno area-Federia, Alpe Mine, and Alpe Vago-you can taste dairy products, stop for hearty lunches, and experience firsthand contact with the animals.
In the alpine hut, Valtellina cuisine is undisputed queen, traditional dishes such as pizzoccheri and sciatt are waiting for you to recover all the energy of your outdoor days!
