DAY OF THE FARMER
A fantastic experience that will make you live the life of the farmer in a typical hut where cattle are brought during the summer season. The activity will begin at 17.00 with the milking and the shelter of the animals in the stable. Following the typical farmer's dinner and overnight stay in the hut. The next morning, after waking up at dawn, we will continue with the grazing of the animals and with breakfast always in the hut. The activity will end in the late morning with the return to the valley.
Here, in addition to experiencing the art of milking, from Monday to Thursday until 7 September, guests will have the opportunity to feed the calves with milk and baby bottles. Furthermore, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after milking and visiting the dairy, you can savor the Livignasca tradition by enjoying breakfast with the products of "Tast", the project created by the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Livigno to get to know the flavors and the most authentic products of the Livigno tradition.
Alpe Federia offers a very special dinner with delicious dishes and ingredients. A quick visit to the hut and the processing of the milk before dinner, before the evening continues with entertainment: live music, dancing or karaoke; those who wish may reach the hut via shuttle. The hut is open daily with lunch and overnight stays available.

Typical dinner at the hut with its own products made the very same day, the evening includes a nice stop at Cheséira to watch the milking and making of cheese, followed by a scenic outdoor campfire; those who wish may reach the hut via shuttle. An entire morning dedicated to learning about milk, an incredibly valuable food.Accompanied by one of the locals, participants start with a special visit to some of therooms in MUS! where the equipment used in the past for milk processing andproducing its derivatives are housed. They will explore the history of milk as a sourceof sustenance and the cornerstone for an agricultural economy that still survivestoday. The visit then continues in the dairy where participants will be able to observethe dairy production process and innovative machinery up close. The visit ends with atasting session of local products.
