The Vedre'ta Vedretta. It is a glacier that forms into small basins or on steep slopes. In the Municipality of Livigno, there are many formations like this, in the southernmost region, close to the Bernina Group glaciers.
Beautiful alpine lake with the same-name masonry hut that can accommodate 8 people. The hut was made by bringing the materials required for its constructions up the steep trails with the motorcycle, between the summers of 1974 and 1977.
First, take the Val Ne’ira trail, pass the Val Ne’ira waterfalls and remain on the right side until you see the Vale’ta in front of you. The trail is easy at first, and it gets harder in the last uphill section, until you reach the Vale’ta alpine lakes at 2,593 meters above the sea level.
