MILANESIANA
Milanesiana returns to Livigno with many cultural events. Prestigious names from the Italian cultural scene and beyond will perform in Livigno with concerts, speeches and high-profile contributions.
THE EVENT
From July 20 to 22, 2026, Livigno will host a new stop of La Milanesiana, the renowned cultural festival that for over twenty years has brought together different disciplines and forms of expression, featuring leading figures from the Italian and international cultural scene.
The twenty-seventh edition of La Milanesiana is dedicated to “Desire and Law,” a theme that explores the complex relationship between what we are called to do and what we desire to do. Law—both juridical and moral—intertwines with individual desires: it contains them, guides them, and at times opposes them, while at the same time helping them to emerge and take shape. Within this balance between rule and impulse, between limitation and aspiration, both personal identity and communities are formed, in a dialogue that is an integral part of contemporary society.
Conceived and directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi, the festival arrives in the Alpine resort with a program of events spanning music, literature, art, and contemporary thought. It becomes part of Livigno’s broader effort to position itself as a destination increasingly attentive to cultural offerings, alongside its well-established reputation for nature and sports. In this context, the resort once again proves to be an ideal setting for the festival, offering an environment where landscape and cultural vision meet and engage in an authentic dialogue.
