Livigno offers countless opportunities throughout the winter season and all kinds of routes of differing lengths and complexity. Participants must possess a suitable level of technical skill for off-piste descents. The course is structured over two days (9.00 – 12.30): - Day 1: participants will learn about the kinds of materials used, ascent and descent techniques on easy ground, safety and self-rescue and the use of ARTVA avalanche transceivers and self-rescue materials - Day 2: participants will go on an excursion that includes up and downhill walking, at levels of difficulty which are proportionate to how skilled the pupils are.

Intermediate and advanced level routes with two possible durations: M (morning only) and XL (all day). Multi-day programmes are also available.

Wear boots and crampons which are specific to climbing, hold ice axes, wear a helmet and harness tied to a safety rope and start climbing guided by the instructions and help of an Alpine Guide.

The mountains in winter are as beautiful and enchanting as they are potentially dangerous for those who face them unprepared. Visitors should learn about the environment, the snow, the personal safety materials necessary and how to use them correctly in order to ski off-piste. We offer a one day basic course which: - helps you improve your off-piste skiing technique; - teaches you about self-rescue materials and how to use them correctly; - helps you improve your knowledge of the snow by learning to asses the danger of an avalanche occurring.

These easy walks through the woods and valleys of Stelvio National Park in the silence of winter take place far away from the village so visitors can see roe deer, cha-mois, ibex and, with a little luck, a Golden Eagle and bearded vulture.
