From the Pink Walk to meetings with local female professionals, a programme dedicated to raising awareness, sharing scientific knowledge, and promoting a culture of prevention.
Ottobre 2026 - Prevention starts with small everyday actions: from what we eat and the time we dedicate to physical activity to our ability to listen to our bodies, without neglecting our emotional well-being. This daily commitment to self-care is the inspiration behind “Ottobre in Rosa” (Pink October), an initiative featuring a series of events taking place between October and November. The programme aims to raise awareness of women's health and encourage women to embrace prevention through information, education, and open dialogue.
The programme will kick off with the Pink Walk with Epy and Michela Iori, scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at 2:00 PM, starting near Hotel Forcola. An opportunity for the community to come together, raise awareness of the importance of prevention, and highlight the value of a community committed to women's health and well-being.
The programme will continue with a series of events and initiatives featuring young local female professionals, ready to share their expertise to promote prevention and well-being. From nutrition to mental health, from osteopathy to physical activity, each event will offer an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and gain valuable tools to approach personal health and well-being with greater awareness and care.
The first event on the calendar will take place on Monday, October 26, at 9:00 PM, at Aquagranda, with “Prevention Starts on Your Plate”, led by Camilla Illini, a nutrition biologist. The session will explore the role of nutrition and everyday choices in self-care and promoting good health, with a particular focus on cancer prevention.
Tuesday, October 27, will be dedicated to early detection, with free mammography screening provided by a mobile unit at the Casa di Comunità, Via Freita 1521/B, available by invitation to women aged 45 to 74. This initiative highlights the importance of participating in recommended screening programmes and making regular check-ups an essential part of personal preventive healthcare.
The focus on personal well-being will continue on Wednesday, October 28, and Friday, October 30, with sessions led by osteopath Beatrice Vietti. Each 30-minute appointment will include an initial consultation, a brief assessment and, where appropriate, manual treatment: a dedicated opportunity for self-care and greater awareness of one's body.
Friday, October 30, at 9:00 PM, will focus on psychological well-being with “Prevention, Well-being and Women's Mental Health”, a session led by Beatrice Pradella and Giulia Cusini, psychologists from Quellepsi. An opportunity for open dialogue about emotions and self-awareness, exploring the role of psychological well-being in overall health and highlighting the importance of listening to oneself.
The programme will continue on Friday, November 6, at 9:00 PM, with “Cancer Prevention: Promoting Health Through Lifestyle Choices”, led by dietitian Letizia Bormolini. The session will explore the role of nutrition and everyday habits in maintaining good health and reducing the risk of certain types of cancer, offering practical insights into how informed lifestyle choices can contribute to prevention.
longside the events, Aquagranda will expand its fitness class schedule with new activities open to everyone. From Pilates to water-based activities and functional training, the programme will include classes such as Power Pilates, Hybrid, which combines muscle strength and aerobic endurance to improve physical fitness and support cardiovascular and metabolic health, and H2O Step, as well as Mamma Fit and Sound Bath, featuring guided meditation designed to promote relaxation and inner balance. These activities, part of the AQ1816 offering, encourage participants to embrace physical activity and moments of self-awareness as essential elements of everyday well-being.
With Ottobre in Rosa (Pink October), Livigno renews its commitment to promoting health by creating opportunities for awareness, education, and community engagement that highlight local expertise and remind us that prevention is an ongoing journey, nurtured every day through knowledge, self-awareness, and informed choices.
