Registration is now open for participation in Sentiero Gourmet, the event promoted by the Livigno Chefs' and Pastry Chefs' Association, which has become a not-to-be-missed annual event for Livigno residents and tourists, both Italian and foreign, who want to enjoy the exciting experience of a real 'marathon of taste'.

The eighth edition will be held on Friday 12 July and will enable all participants to embark on a journey through
flavours in nature, walking along a 5-kilometre route, divided into 6 stages, in the area of the Vago valley, which will be the setting for this important rendezvous, made possible thanks to the constant commitment of the Association of Livigno Chefs and Pastry Chefs, founded in the spring of 2001 with the aim of safeguarding and promote the culinary customs of the Livigno tradition, but also to be the promoter of important initiatives aimed at promoting food and wine in the area.

The 2024 edition, however, will differ from the previous ones: two themes will be the common thread throughout the experience. 'Women' is the first theme that will characterise the Sentiero Gourmet, with the aim of celebrating the strength and creativity of women, but also emphasise the elegance and refinement that distinguish them.
This year, in fact, each station will be headed by five important female chefs on the Italian scene: Isabella Potì, chef of the Bros' restaurant (1 Michelin star) in Lecce; pastry chef Rita Busalacchi of the Radicì Ristorante Iseo; Arianna Gatti, chef of the restaurant Forme in Brescia; chef Sabrina Macrì, at the helm of BistRo Aimo e Nadia in Milan; and Sabrina Nicolosi, chef of the vegetarian restaurant Altatto in Milan.
Each of them will be supported by a brigade, together with which they will create gourmet finger food - starting
starting with starters, then moving on to main courses, main courses, desserts and, to finish, the inevitable coffee - capable of taking the able to take participants on a journey of taste.
Each course will be accompanied by a fine selection of wines in line with the theme: the Sommeliers of the Associazione  Cuochi e Pasticceri di Livigno will choose the labels from a number of female-run producers.

The second theme chosen for the eighth edition is 'Il Giro d'Italia in cucina' (The Tour of Italy in the kitchen): the dishes proposed at each of the six stages, in fact, will allow participants to savour modern reinterpretations of some of the recipes of the Italian Italian tradition, characterised by enveloping fragrances and strong flavours that tell of a cuisine rich in history and passion.

Along the route, visitors will also meet the Gruppo Folk di Livigno who will pay homage to Livigno's past and
Livigno's traditions, with 'live' representations of trades and jobs that were once typically feminine: these scenes of life in the past, accompanied by musical entertainment always signed by women, will be able to offer moments of authentic nostalgia for the Livigno of yesteryear.

Sentiero Gourmet is a limited number event: registration is compulsory (only via the website) and the ticket costs
cost of 135 euros per person. At the time of registration, it will be possible to choose the departure time, staggered every 20 minutes from 11:40 am until 2:00 pm , at the meeting point at Alpe Campaccio - P7.
