There are several options for families who want to climb up to alpine huts and lawns, and play free, surrounded by breathtaking views. Here is a selection of our most beautiful family-friendly hikes.
Charming trail where you’ll see century-old alpine huts, Tees, tended lawns and a small church with the typical bulb-shaped bell tower. In the upper section of the valley, you’ll reach the Cheseira da Fedaria, an agrifarm where you can eat and sleep.
This 1 km trail is actually an open air art gallery, surrounded by a larch wood, with a sequence of artworks, each one accompanied by a descriptive sign, embellishing the view and giving you a unique stroll in the Livigno valley.
Waterfalls of the Vale’ta creek, which flow into the Val Ne’ira creek with a 30 m jump. There’s also an adventurous part, on the rope bridge section connecting the two sides of the valley, for the complete ring-shaped trail on the beautiful Val Nera.

Crap da la Pare’: a mountain overlooking the southern Livigno area, easy to reach thanks to an ancient trail marked by Cross Stations. From there, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view over the Livigno valley and its lake.
The Chese’ira dal Vach dominates a large flat pasture, extending also in the Valle della Forcola, and ensuring high quality and genuine butter and cheeses - which can be purchased there - every summer.
An open valley leading to the same-name alpine hut. The hike is easy, with the option of doing a ring-shaped trail. In the first section, you’ll walk surrounded by larches and alders, and then by Swiss pines and mountain pines. You’ll see many different flowers and a majestic view
Bosc'ch dal Re'ste'l. The easiest, shortest and most popular stroll in Livigno, close to the city centre, yet far from traffic sounds and surrounded by the century-old larch woods, with the Livigno lake as background.
