Accomplice to the cold weather and more abundant snow than in other mountain resorts, everything is ready in Livigno for the highly anticipated Cross-Country Skiing World Cup, a crucial stage for the specialty as witnessed by the presence of all the best athletes in the discipline. A two-day event that becomes part of the history of "Little Tibet," which has always been a reference point for Cross Country Skiing, with Italy finally returning as a protagonist in the world calendar. A true celebration of sport for the champions of the 18 different nations that will compete on the unprecedented Livignano track, but also for the many supporters who have flocked to the streets of the town, thanks also to the many side events scheduled over the weekend. The tricolour hopes are pinned above all on Federico Pellegrino, the spearhead of the national team and veteran of excellent placings achieved in the first days of 2023, which have raised the Italian to 40 podiums in his career, while the luxury outsiders are Simone Mocellini and Francesco De Fabiani, both on the podium in Val di Fiemme.
