Why going there

Camanel di Planon is the mountain lodge in Mottolino ski area’s earth; it can be reached by foot with chairlift Teola Pianoni Bassi. Inside there is a restaurant with an open kitchen that offers a menu ranging from typical Valtellina cuisine - with ‘pizzoccheri’, bresaola and a selection of cheeses - to the best Italian first courses, to be tasted into charming wooden rooms. For the hurried, there is a Grab&Go, with tasty sandwiches, assorted fried chicken wings and bites, etc. The restaurant’s style recalls an old fashion typical home from Livigno: from wooden ceiling beam to the stove heater, in a real alpine atmosphere. The refuge has also a covered panoramic terrace, an outside terrace where there is an with tables warmed by braziers perfect for enjoying a meal by the fire. On request, you can organize lunches and dinners for special events.
