It is enough to whisper ‘Icon’ in the ear of anyone who has ever participated in a single edition, as an athlete or as a spectator, it makes no difference, to send shivers of excitement and adrenalin down the spine, because no track in the world can compete with that proposed by ICON Xtreme Triathlon: <span style="font-family: Livigno, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">the most extreme race on the planet</span>.<br><br><br>A moment of soul-searching, and not just a challenge to human limits, for the most challenging and iconic triathlon in the entire world. Included among the appointments of XTRI, the circuit that, between the Norseman and the Himalayan, the Fodaxman and the Canadaman, encompasses all the most important courses in the World, in a season-long tour of the globe, ICON reaches <span style="font-family: Livigno, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">unique heights in terms of spectacularity</span> and technical difficulty.</p>

<p>It starts before sunrise, with the <span style="font-family: Livigno, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">3.8 kilometre swim</span> to be completed in the darkness of Livigno's lake, which is highly suggestive and illuminated ad hoc with torches and bonfires with an exquisitely ancestral flavour. A difficult start, which in past years has been tackled with water temperatures ranging from 14 to 18 degrees. This was followed by <span style="font-family: Livigno, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">the cycling fraction, with 195 kilometres of hard work</span>, to be experienced by crossing some of the most important passes in the history of modern cycling: true monuments of two wheels, such as the Bernina, the Foscagno and the 48, unforgettable hairpin bends of the Stelvio. A feat with a total of 5000 metres of altitude difference. And finally, to complete the work, another 3000 metres of altitude difference, this time to be diluted in the <span style="font-family: Livigno, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;">42 kilometres of final marathon</span>, which, with the extremely tough arrival at the Carosello 3000, the perfect summary of the hardness of the entire race, puts the icing on the cake to a course without equal. An extremely spectacular final stretch, where the first arrivals are expected around 6pm, and which can be witnessed by taking the cable car up.</p>
