Due to bad weather, the BWT 1K Shot has been postponed to Friday, August 29, 2025.

In Livigno, winter is also breathing in the summer with the BWT 1K SHOT and GARA DA LI CONTRADA race in which athletes and amateurs compete on a 1-kilometre course completely covered in snow in the streets of the town centre.

BWT 1K shot

A cross-country ski race on a 1 km track completely covered in snow in the middle of summer! This is the spectacular event of the BWT 1K shot race in which the athletes of the Italian national men's and women's cross-country ski team compete along the centre of Livigno.

The BWT 1K Shot will start at 5:00 PM from the square in front of the Church and finish in Plaza dal Comun.

ROAD TO MILANO CORTINA

In 2026, Livigno will take center stage at the Milano Cortina Olympics, hosting the Freestyle and Snowboard competitions. While waiting for this major event, don’t miss a spectacular preview! Starting at 7:00 p.m., on the occasion of the BWT 1K Shot, come to Piazza del Comune to experience a taste of the Olympic excitement with an extraordinary Freestyle & Snowboard Big Air show featuring Flora and Miro Tabanelli, along with the snowboard and freestyle athletes of the Sporting Club Livigno.

Gara Da Li Contrada

In the evening, the districts of Livigno put their skis on their feet and take to the slopes to challenge each other in a Nordic skiing competition in the middle of summer on a 1-kilometre track completely covered in snow. The people of Livigno dress in their old-fashioned clothes to ski the kilometre-long track and compete in a friendly and competitive atmosphere to win the race.

The “Gara da li Contrada” takes place on the same course as the BWT 1K Shot, but in the opposite direction. It will therefore start at 8:15 PM from Plaza dal Comun.
