On this day, the alpine transhumance is reenacted, during which the animals, after spending the summer in the high pastures, return to the village for the winter season. The livestock, adorned for the occasion, animal parades through the streets of the town, accompanied by the people of Livigno dressed in traditional "old-style" clothing to relive the emotions of rural life from the past.

ALPENFEST

Farmers are those who, quietly and discreetly, work hard throughout the entire summer.
The Alpenfest is the day when the ancient ritual of alpine transhumance is brought back to life, as the livestock returns to the village for the winter after spending the summer in the high pastures.

We would like to thank our farmers who, with dedication and discretion, work tirelessly throughout the summer.
This event will be a true celebration!
